A balcony overlooking the lake. I can watch the sunset sink over the hills.
And I think — I have that back home. Prettier, too. And without a helicopter that flies low and loud.
I’m grateful, of course. For the view and the water and my own space in a chaotic week. But it makes me even more thankful for what I have at home — a balcony, a lake, the quiet, a sun that sinks into the water. It’s always grounding to know that, despite whatever else happens, I am planted where I’m meant to be.
With Love,
Natalie
