After that Multiple Criteria VLOOKUP miracle last month, apparently now I’m the kind of person who thinks I can write Excel formulas.

I am really, really not. Give me a beautiful blank Google Doc any day.

But here I am, google Nested IF functions and falling in love with how satisfying conditional formatting can be. Super coherent things I googled this evening:

  • If cell is a color then this number google sheet (unsuccessful, I haven’t figured out the color logic, but also not a very intelligible search string)
  • IF THEN function google sheets
  • Stack IF THEN functions google sheets
  • Represent number range in IF function google sheets

After much trial and error on the correct number of parentheses, I ended up with formulas like this:

Pretty cool nested IF function if I do say so myself.

Is this the key to success? Is this how everybody is spending their time?

Is this how I want to spend my time?

*longing looks at blank google document* headers and text, headers and text, so simple.

Anyway. Here’s to learning.

With Love,
