I had a growth moment today that got me way too excited: learning a new Excel/Google Sheets formula.
Huge disclaimer: anyone who nerds out on spreadsheets most likely already knows how to do this.
But that is not, historically, me. I got up to basic VLOOKUP knowledge years ago and left it at that. I don’t at all understand what a pivot table is.
But today I figured out how to do a VLOOKUP with MULTIPLE CRITERIA! It transformed a mess of a data dump spreadsheet into exactly what I wanted and it only took me a couple of well-placed Google searches and a helpful video to figure it out.
The helpful video, for reference.
Look at my beautiful formula. It was so easy. So much less complex than I thought. The hours of work that it saved and will save in the future cannot be understated.
Will I now become someone who loves spreadsheets and formulas? Have I seen the light? I did get pretty inspired with some conditional formatting, so who knows.
With Love,
Natalie
