The goal is to have the trash draft (draft zero, draft just get some words on the page and fix it later) complete by the end of this month. I think I am still on track! I had a great writing session last Saturday where I pumped out 4,000 words while hanging out at the writing center and have been able to find time to hit my word count every day since. I’ve hit some scenes that are fun to write so I’m hoping the momentum will carry me through the rest of the month.

I just want this done because I cannot wait to edit and fix all the problems I’m finding as I write. Pushing through.

Here are my last sentences from this past week:

  • 7/1: Someone starts playing music from their phone and soon the whole bus is singing Disney songs.
  • 7/2: Wait.
  • 7/3: I’m not going to spill any of your tea
  • 7/4: Clarke’s told me who she was from the beginning.
  • 7/5: I used to dream about her.
  • 7/6: I can’t stop staring at her lips.

(Can you tell we’re getting to the kissing part of the book???).

With Love,

Natalie
