It’s my normal writing update day, but since I shipped my draft off on Saturday I’m taking this week to regroup before I think about it again. Next up will be writing a query and synopsis for the Pitch Wars application (and getting feedback from beta readers, but that will take a few weeks).

I did tinker around with a children’s story yesterday. I wrote longhand at my parents’ house and generated a few pages about the shadow animals of Mariner Road that came to life at night. It was fun to try out a different genre and style and I think I’ll keep working on it in between revisions.

In the meantime, I suddenly have a couple of hours each evening to re-delegate. So far I used the extra time over the weekend to hang out with my family, go on walks, and read. Time well spent as recharge.

With Love,

Natalie
