Weekly writing update! I’m working on starting some edits, but to be honest I haven’t dived as deep as I expected yet. I’m hoping to do so this weekend, but in the meantime, I’m picking at scenes that I know need more depth and free writing to explore a couple of directions they could deviate or linger.

I’m waiting for one more piece of editorial feedback that I think is arriving soon, but I’ll need to stop dragging my feet and dig in this weekend! This week I’m not planning on spending much time during the evenings (work’s busy and I’m trying to direct my brainpower there while I have it to get a few projects off the ground).

Here are the last sentences I wrote from this past week:

  • 10/1: I tighten my fist around the car keys and run.
  • 10/2: Maple cheats, though no one says so.
  • 10/3: When I win a game on my own Mason claps me on the back.
  • 10/4: He took my shoes too.
  • 10/5: He’d be sorry, but it’d be done.
  • 10/6: But I don’t like my odds.
  • 10/7: That’s how he found me.

With Love,
Natalie
