I had a couple of writing accountability sessions this week that got some scenes churning! I’m skipping around in my outline still, letting the characters tell me who they are, writing shitty sentences because writing shitty sentences is better than nothing. The mantra needs to be “Just get it out. It’s always easier to edit.”

Why can’t stories come out perfectly the first time?

Anyway, here are my last sentences written from this past week:

3/24: The sting is back.
3/25: This isn’t my home.
3/26: Have you checked the weather?
3/27: Not today.
3/28: She slammed the fridge door shut.
3/29: Sure, I know a place.
3/30: CJ’s parents organized a dinner for everyone at Toasties.

With Love,

Natalie
