I had a productive writing/planning session after work tonight, thanks to my writing buds Katie & Lin. I’ve been writing in fits and starts all over the place so I decided it was time to flesh out a more detailed synopsis. I have a pretty decent outline already, but as I’ve been exploring characters (and frankly, feeling where I’m bored with my own story), there were some gaps and motivations I needed to flesh out.

I’m feeling good about the direction, but I’m going to need some more time planning. Goal for the week.

In the meantime, here are my last sentences written from this past week:

  • 4/21: It’s been a year, but his name brings me to my knees.
  • 4/22: Matt was an engine.
  • 4/23: I wished I could play those final 100 meters in slow motion.
  • 4/24: Later, I’d try to retrace the footprints left on the muddy trail.
  • 4/25: In my imagination, it’s so easy.
  • 4/26: Riley is yelling at me from the car.
  • 4/27: She could’ve sprained her ankle.

With Love,

Natalie
