I have the day off today and am continuing my long weekend tour of Wisconsin. This morning I saw the Barbie movie again since my friends haven’t seen it yet. It still hit the second time and I believe I cried harder during this run-through. A masterpiece. I would still like that “I Am Kenough” sweatshirt.

After lunch with my brother, we made our way over to Milwaukee where we met up with my friend Jenna and went down to the War Memorial Beer Garden right on the lakeshore with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan.

After happy hour we went to Cafe Hollander and somehow got this perfect outdoor table overlooking the river. Pretzel bun breakfast sandwiches, frites with choice dipping sauces, Duvel 666 beer . . . Plus, the whole intersection was like a neighborhood out of a picturesque European postcard. String lights were hung above the restaurants and over the street. It was intimate, friendly — a community.

To be with three of my best friends for a whole evening felt magical. And I have another full day with them tomorrow! (Renaissance Faire here we come!)

With Love,

Natalie
