I would be remiss if I didn’t recap a winter week with friends. One with more work and less tourism than the summer, but beautiful in its quiet. There were lots of games of Mario Party. A fire we kept feeding for a whole afternoon. A winter hike at the Bayshore Blufflands. Way too much alcohol accompanied the Monopoly game on New Year’s Eve followed by a day of recovery where we double-featured the Frozen movies. I pulled the Three of Cups from my tarot deck on the first of the year.
We ate at Stone Hedge, at Burton’s on the Green, at Pizza Bros. We made tacos and gnocchi and brewed Keurig hot chocolate all week — flavors like Irish creme and peanut butter chocolate and salted caramel.
We started watching A Court of Fey and Flowers from Dimension 20, a regency D&D game that is fantastic.
With friends like these, you stay warm through the coldest days. It was the perfect way to welcome 2023.
With Love,
Natalie
