There are a few fail-proof ways to warm up during January in Door County. A hot tub soak. An afternoon or evening by my indoor fireplace. And the fireball. We haven’t done one since summer, but it’s a perfect outdoor winter activity. The radiant heat melts the snow and keeps our cores warm as it burns down over a couple of hours.

As my parents say, it’s an event. Something to do when there is less to do during the winter months. And today, with my carry-over exhaustion from last week (and looking at my work week ahead), it was a good reason to get off the couch. My brain has felt foggy all day, but the fresh air and blaze of fire helped.

With Love,

Natalie
