There’s a turtle on the side of Mariner Road. Rescued from the middle of the pavement by my kind neighbors before I pass it by. I send my friend a picture and she sends me back its meaning. A symbol of the Earth, a symbol of grounding. Determination, persistence, emotional strength, ancient wisdom.
Today is a turtle day. Slow moving, but I find grounding where I can. A long walk. A joyful Tarot card (the Ten of Cups). Frozen pizza. The sun. A deer and her fawn on Lori Lane. A turtle on the side of Mariner Road.
