A lesson validated for me this morning. Trust your gut.
When your instincts are saying no, something’s off, this feels weird . . . listen. I’ve gotten this advice multiples times in my life, from a coach, from my mom, from books, but it bears repeating when we relearn it. I think the only true mistakes I’ve made in my life are when I ignored that voice in my head that said wait, slow down, ask a question, something is not right.
We can mask this voice with politeness and niceties and obligation and all the other ways the world demands us to serve others before ourselves. When we do that over and over we’re not only risking our own desires, passions, and integrity — we risk our safety.
Listen to yourself.
With Love,
Natalie
