I’m in Green Bay this evening, ready for an early flight out tomorrow. I’m headed out to Cape Cod for a bachelorette party / birthday party weekend. It’s a quick turnaround — I’ll be back Sunday — but I’m looking forward to being with my friends.
Work was rough the past couple of days—people stuff, it comes with the HR job description—but the tough things don’t really get easier. At least not easier on the heart.
Luckily I’m super into hotel rooms. Some takeout, some tv, a shower, and some reading. It’s a little window where I’m suspended in time. Not in motion traveling. Free from the expectations of being home.
And luckily I’m super into my friends, who I’ll see tomorrow and who always help balance me out.
