I made it to Cape Cod! It’s been nearly a decade since I’ve been up here (after all, I live in the “Cape Cod of the Midwest” so there hasn’t been much pull). But the house I’m in for the weekend is directly on the ocean and it is around sixty degrees here, markedly warmer than back home. It’s beautiful, sunny, and I got to spend the car trip from Boston to here with my best friends brainstorming about Lin’s new story (which I read this week, excellent).
My understanding of this weekend’s plan:
Tonight — at the beach house, tacos, and games
Tomorrow — winery and hanging out in P-town
Sunday — up early for me to head back home
It’s also been five-ish years since I’ve been to a Bachelorette party so it should be fun! Doubly so since I get to celebrate my friend Katie’s thirtieth birthday along with her upcoming wedding.
Right now, resetting before the evening — early morning travel always takes it out of me and I can never seem to get a good night’s sleep when I know I have an early alarm.
Soon — maybe a walk on the beach?
With Love,
Natalie
