Or rather, Lin delivered. We have Taylor Swift tickets!!

If you have not been keeping up with this journey to get tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras tour next year, it has been wild. There was preregistering as a Verified Fan a couple of weeks ago. A random selection from that group to the first presale today. Two out of the five people in our group (one person can buy up to six tickets) got that code — Lin and me.

Then today, you start in a waiting room and then are randomly ordered into a queue . . . which promptly broke Ticketmaster for half the day. A whole day of having a browser up — you are NOT allowed to close or refresh or the wrath of God will come down unto you (or so they would have you believe). We were not alone in struggling . . . millions of Taylor Swift fans (that is not an exaggeration) were breaking the internet waiting to move through the queue. My #swifities slack channel at work was full of pain.

To put a point on it, one Variety article is titled Inside the Hell of Purchasing Taylor Swift ‘Eras Tour’ Tickets: Crashes, Queues and Crying

But later this afternoon it happened — the queue suddenly started speeding up and Lin got through! We got on the phone for the transaction (by the end of it I got through too but Lin already had the tickets ready to go so I didn’t need to double purchase). We are going to our first choice show — Saturday, June 3rd in Chicago!

It was so stressful??

But I am so excited! I have never been to a Taylor Swift concert and she’s basically the only artist I care about / would try this hard to see.

With Love,

Natalie
