Happy Book Birthday to Lin Thompson’s debut middle-grade novel The Best Liars in Riverview!

This day was a long time coming and I’m so happy their book is finally in the world! It’s also the first time I’m in the acknowledgments of a published book. I’m not crying, you’re crying.

The Best Liars in Riverview tells Aubrey’s story and their journey to find their best friend who has disappeared. It is a story with adventure, friendship, and fearless exploration of gender identity. Lin put it best: “I’ve always described this book as less about finding answers than about learning to ask the questions.”

Check out this fantastic write-up to learn more about the story and Lin, who is just a stand-up human being and one of the best writers I will ever know: “From librarian to author, Lin Thompson explores gender identity in debut novel”

I am lucky to know them, lucky to love them, lucky to have their words in my life.

*Throws this book aggressively at everyone I know*

With Love,

Natalie
