The Women’s Fund of Door County presented their annual “Tales of our Lives” event this evening — a story slam event inspired by “The Moth”.
I attended the event two years ago but this year it was held at Northern Sky’s Gould Theater (an excellent venue) — and with Northern Sky’s partnership the performances felt elevated and polished.
There were five speakers and truly they were all phenomenal. Diverse speakers and perspectives, humor and tears, local and global stories all tied together. It made me proud and grateful all over again to be in a small town community where the level of performance, theater, art is this world class.
