The sun burns red in a hazy sky
For four minutes I watch it sink into the bay
I can’t capture it in photos or words
But for four minutes it’s just me, the water, the sun
Then it’s just me, the water, and a walk home
Some days I barely appreciate it
This everyday miracle of our universe
There are no epiphanies
I’m still tired
But the sunset is there anyway, persistent
With Love,
Natalie
