My mama and I are doing a spa day today at Kohler Lodge in Green Bay. Pedicures. Reiki Massages. Hydrotherapy circuit with whirlpool, cold plunge, and a sauna and steam room. The whole thing, plus the softest robes. I don’t remember the last time we’ve done something like this, if ever.
We finished up the treatments a little bit ago and are getting ready for our dinner reservation at the hotel restaurant soon — we’re staying right at the lodge to keep it simple. When we planned this I wanted it to feel fully immersive with as few logistics as possible. Let’s get here and relax. The hotel room shower even had three showerheads and you could set the exact temperature you want the water by degrees. We feel very pampered today.
It was my first time doing energy work with the Reiki Massage too, and I found it surprisingly relaxing and releasing (I really had no idea what to expect but we were feeling adventurous). My thoughts dwelled on areas they hadn’t in a while, but not in an anxious way. It’s hard for me to fully let go of my racing brain but I would try Reiki therapy again.
Wow. It just feels so good to let go. No responsibility for the day but to relax and be together. I think we both needed it.
With Love,
Natalie
