There’s something so calming about from-birth best friends . . . and something so lucky that when they come home for the holidays they now come to Door County. Z and I used to have sleepovers growing up and we had one again last night after having a joint-family dinner at her parents’ place. Now our sleepovers have more wine and fewer Barbies (though there are a lot of Barbies nearby as ornaments on my tree).
But we still take pictures in front of a fireplace, because some things never change.

With Love,
Natalie
