Today, here’s what character growth looks like:
I picked up the phone, unprompted, to ask a restaurant about their menu.
I go to a new restaurant when I could have stayed home.
I order a pulled pork sandwich (who am I?)
Skaliwags is a cool restaurant, by the way. In Fish Creek, Austin / Southern vibes, very good food. Too bad it’ll be overrun by the summer crowds but I’m glad we got there now, in this freezing April weather. I’m glad my mom pushes us to go do things now. That’s the trade off of living in a lake community . . . you wait all winter for the weather to be warm . . . but then the people come.
(That attitude is how you know I haven’t grown too much after all).
With Love,
Natalie
