My brain starts to shut down
The adrenaline drop
After a week of planning and meetings
And presentation and trainings
Zoom, zoom, zoom
It was all okay, I hope
The mistakes I make are forgivable
The exhaustion kicks in
But there are six hours to go
All those emails and needs and weeks worth of work
That will wait weeks
Three hours to go
Four more meetings
Three, two, one
I turn my brain off
I eat pizza with my parents
I write these plain words
That’s all that’s left today
Nothing a little Netflix and sleep can’t fix
With Love,
Natalie
