I am so rarely tempted to a new movie, but Hulu marketing did its job and I watched Self Reliance tonight — a new thriller/comedy that came out on Hulu earlier this month starring Jake Johnson and Anna Kendrick.
The premise: A man is recruited to a dark web reality show where he’s being hunted by people trying to kill him, but they can only kill him if he’s alone. The loophole — never be alone.
It was funny and surprising and a little psychological. And it’s under 90 minutes which felt like a lower commitment than a 2 hour movie. I’d recommend it!
