Breonna Taylor. Today would’ve been her 27th birthday. She’s a year younger than me. The officers who killed her have not been arrested.
If you haven’t already:
- Sign the petition
- Here’s another one
- Donate to Breonna’s family (if you’re able)
- Make your voice heard by reaching out to the Louisville mayor’s office and Governor Andy Beshear. I linked emails because their voicemail boxes are full, but call who you can. If you’re nervous to speak with someone take this as comfort, you’ll most likely leave a voicemail not talking to someone directly. It’s about the volume of calls and messages they receive.
- Ask yourself this: what am I doing right now to listen to Black voices and educate myself on anti-racism? There’s is power in our privilege — let’s use it for something good.
- Here’s a list of more things to do to support justice for Breonna
- Do something
It matters because Black Lives Matter. It matters because Breonna’s life mattered.
