Snow and rain and ice and it is a good excuse to stay inside all day. I read a book, I watch a movie, I make a fire, and review the first 100 pages of my own manuscript. I’ll read the rest tomorrow.

I have a busy month ahead of me (and behind me), so I’m desperately trying to soak up these few quiet days at the end of the year. I took off work tomorrow too, an extra day to get my shit together. It will involve a little work as well but not the kind where I need to be on email or responding to slacks.

I need the world to stop and this long weekend is as close as I’m going to get for a while.

So I’ll have a little wine and watch a show and not set an alarm again. I will desperately try not to think about Spider-Man (she says while reading a Miles Morales book and rewatching the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series and when I asked google to put on background music while I was revising today I found myself starting to get emotional and I looked up and found they had a track from the No Way Home soundtrack on).

Did you know I only have one singular Spider-Man reference in the entire book I wrote? Only one. I am amazing.

Maybe a busy month ahead will be good for me. I like being in my brain, but it needs to get out a little. But who am I if I’m not obsessed over something? Good God, what do people think about all day?

With Love,

Natalie
