Friday evening looks like this: a glass of wine, curled up on the couch, reading my best friend’s book cover to cover.
It’s been many drafts ago that I’ve read the story in its entirety. It was good then, but it has grown into something more than I could imagine. I’ll always think of this book as “raft story” but The Best Liars in Riverview is a good title too. It’s actually a little too good, upon the reread. Damn.
It is a good way to spend a night. A good way to spend a life really.
I cry a lot. But I love when a book can make me cry, don’t you?
I keep talking about kids need this book. How it’s important. “Potentially life-changing, lifesaving,” said Kacen Callendar.
The truth is I needed this book growing up too. And a big part of me needs it right now.
Thanks, Lin.
With Love,
Natalie
