This quote keeps popping up on my Instagram feed and I’m finding it a bit haunting.
“Saying ‘I don’t know what I want’ feels a lot easier than admitting ‘I know exactly what I want but I’m afraid that I can’t have it.”
Nicole Antoinette
My energy is still feeling too low to dive into the vulnerability I feel welling up when I read it. But I read it to be true.
It reminds me of working with my friend Jenna (she did some 1×1 coaching with me in 2019 through her business Mental Wealth & Wellness) and she drew out of me truths that I hadn’t even acknowledged. But what I worked through with her planted the seeds to be where I am now: with my family, by the lake. I didn’t think I was allowed to want that. There are other seeds from that summer I’m still nurturing, still gathering the courage to want it out loud.
