Ah, technology. The beautiful and the broken. My lovely laptop, Lance, got a nick in his screen a few weeks ago. Okay, well, I closed my headphones in my computer a little aggressively and what do you do?
The effect was annoying but relatively minimal. I lost a half-inch visibility on the bottom of the screen and got a little rainbow stripe down the left side. I decided to live with it for a little bit . . . at least until my bonus check . . . before I forked over a couple of hundred dollars to replace the screen.
Well, I get my bonus check next week. And a half-hour ago Lance gave the fuck up. The whole screen started flickering, dimmed, and dun dun dun now I have a fun errand to run this weekend and no computer.
Luckily, I was at work and I can use a Chromebook for the weekend. I have Lance scheduled with the Apple doctor (not until tomorrow afternoon which is a bummer and they’ll probably have to keep him overnight, cross your fingers that it’s not longer). The risk I took in using my personal computer also for my work computer means that for the weekend I’m annoyed, but come Monday I actually have trouble doing my job.
Still. I feel relatively okay about it. It’s a fixable problem. A little annoying but not a big deal. I remember times where technology hiccups would send me into tears. Sometimes it just feels like too much. I’m blessed that right now is not one of those times.
With Love,
Natalie
Lance, has never been trustworthy. Ever.
Ask Arthur. Merlin knows.
Lol!😂
I’m sorry to hear about Lance. I hope he gets better real soon! Hope you don’t mind me saying I found this post hilarious. All my love!❤️
