One of my best friends, Jenna, is in Door County this weekend and the universe wanted her to have perfect fall weather. Nearly sixty degrees, the colors at their glorious peak, the sun shining. I thought we had firmly slid into early winter but it looks like we’re enjoying one last beautiful weekend.

We (Jenna, Jenna’s mom Cathy, my mom, and me) went for a hike in Peninsula State Park in the early afternoon — a mostly unpopulated trail with wide paths that looped through the forest. Afterward, we went to Island Orchard Cidery. Jenna and I each got a flight. My cider lineup: Spruce Tips, Hopped, Oak Aged, and Lavendar.

After a delicious dinner at home (my mom’s lasagne is heavenly) Jenna and her mom headed to Sunflowered, and I’m regrouping at home. Of course, I had my mom here to watch the newest Miraculous Ladybug episode first.

I have a lot of gratitude for days like this — I’m still feeling tired and anxious from work, but today I had the sun and old friends and family. And a little cider doesn’t hurt either.

With Love,

Natalie
