I’m in Madison for the week! Primarily, I’m here to be present for today’s film shoot. My brother’s company is filming a commercial for my company and it is by far the fanciest thing (most high-production video) we’re ever done as a marketing team. There were actors and a makeup artist and I hung out in a big studio all day.
My coworker flew up from Austin to direct, so my job was mainly to stay out of the way, put in the lunch order, and be the driver when we decided we needed to go by a tie for wardrobe. In between watching takes I worked from their waiting room.
It was a long day — we were at the studio from eight to five — and afterward, I took my coworker out for dinner and drinks. As much as I adore being an all-remote company, it is really nice speaking to someone I work closely with face-to-face.
I’ll be staying with my brother and sister-in-law the rest of the week, working remotely and then heading back north Friday evening so I can still enjoy those precious Door County summer weekends.
With Love,
Natalie
