Book Recommendation: Lost in the Never Woods by Aiden Thomas.

I flew through this book in the last couple of days . . . it’s one of those good ones that grips you at the outset and doesn’t let you go. Lost In the Never Woods is the second published YA novel by Aiden Thomas. Their first, The Cemetery Boys debut last year and was the same way: brilliant.

This novel is a modern Peter Pan retelling. Wendy Darling, who disappeared with her younger brothers five years ago, is turning eighteen and trying to put her past behind her. The past: she was found alone in the woods six months after her disappearance with no memory. Her brothers were never found. It tore her family apart.

Now, kids are disappearing again . . . and a strange boy named Peter shows up claiming he needs Wendy’s help to find his missing shadow.

This book is mystery and longing and adventure and horror and love and healing and fantasy and grounded reality . . . something about the writing catches me and keeps me enthralled the whole way through.

I finished the final chapters in bed this morning and cried over them. In a good way. I love a book that can me cry.

Please add to your reading list.

With Love,

Natalie
