My cats got an early birthday present today. Or rather, I got myself a present and I’m convincing my cats to lean into the change.
I invested in the Litter Robot 4, one of those fancy self cleaning litter boxes. Basically it cleans after each use and then you just empty the litter bin when it’s full rather than every day.
It’s quite a machine — there’s an app that gives you notifications on when the litter is low and when to change the drawer, among other things. It even tracks the cats weight and can distinguish between cats.
We will see how it plays out — there’s a 90 day at home trial period to make sure it’s worth the investment. But so far so good — at least Merlin is curious. Arthur is more skittish so he might take his time exploring.
