Like the fisherman in the boat
That rocks in a restless sea
My lesson is to be steady
And find the calm inside of me
I meditate by the lake
After running up the bluff
The setting sun is blinding
The bright stillness is enough
I wonder how to be better
For the people I hold in my heart
But I do not know the markers
On the paths they’ll need to chart
I find my grip in the hurricane
Hand over hand on the rail
Always relearning to surf the storm
Not blow away in the gale
With Love,
Natalie
