I don’t usually spend over two hours building a coffee table, but here we are.
I built a coffee table!
I ordered this lift top table last week . . . I had originally ordered (an admittedly higher quality / expensive) one back in February but the order was canceled this summer due to demand a month before delivery. But this one was under hundred dollars from Wal-Mart and came in a giant flat box today.
And well, my alternative evening plan was working while watching Dimension20 so I decided to build this coffee table by watching Dimension20 instead.
It was a very brave decision.
Especially when I got to the lift top part and it became very clear why there were two people depicted in the picture. I did a lot of weird finagling to screw it on while lifting it at the same time. But it’s done! Extra storage, a convenient table that lifts up to a desk level while I’m on the couch . . . it’s perfect for what I need right now. And it’ll be nice for working next to the fireplace this winter.

Not pictured: the mountain of cardboard and trash hidden behind the couch that I’ll have to deal with tomorrow.
With Love,
Natalie
