Our first real winter storm blows in over Egg Harbor and over much of the country it seems. Snow piles up. Six inches. Eight. I can hear the wind blowing outside my window. But the power is on, the heat is on, and my fridge is stocked so I get cozy and try to quiet my brain. It’s not working but learning about D&D is one outlet.
I’m off for the holiday weekend now. It’ll be a quiet one — movies and food with my folks. I’m looking forward to watching the new Knives Out movie and the new musical Matilda on Netflix. Maybe having a fire. Having some wine. Sleeping in. I’ve been in such a beautiful running routine but a snowstorm is disruptive so resting my body may all be on the docket for the next couple of days. Though my parents did mention snowshoeing, so we’ll see.
It’s been such an odd week that it doesn’t really feel like a weekend or even a holiday to me. Traveling for work this week and then working a busy day today, I feel like there is still more to do. Plus there’s been a lot of personal life logistics to handle that have me buzzing. Like I said, my brain is loud, even now.
I pulled three tarot cards today. Past, present, future. The ten of wands. The moon. The ten of cups reversed. It’s time to take action, you’re in a time of confusion and uncertainty, and there are obstacles to having the happy family and relationships you want. Deep breath, y’all.
With Love,
Natalie
