Warm winter weekends that feel like spring and I am a little more myself again these past two days after weeks of spinning. Walks around the bluff and circling Sister Bay. Pancake breakfast and washing the car on a sunny afternoon before soaking in the Hot Tub. My mom hands me a warm freshly baked chocolate chip cookie and I nearly cry with how good it is. Chocolate chip cookies on a weekend afternoon are nostalgia at its finest for me.
I’m studying for a professional certification over the next couple of months so I spend some time watching study videos in the late afternoon, playing an easy game of solitaire to keep y hands busy while I re-learn about training models.
Afterwards, I take a walk down to the lake and look at the ice, the open water in the distance. For all my commitments when I moved here to go to the lake every day, I do not. Steps away from my door and I rarely breathe by the water. An area of growth for me, I suppose.
The day stretches and is still over too soon. To more like these.

With Love,
Natalie
