Hopeful –
That is where I need to turn my heart
When it grows dark
With stories that haven’t happened yet
And may never come to be
Hopeful –
That life will change
To be joyful and hard and strange
Full of a love that I can only imagine
I hope for that
Dangerous, staggering
Magnificent hope
So real in my bones
It’s like a jinx to write it down
I don’t believe in jinxes
