No one on the roads. I walk. The wind churns the bay. I sit and write and let the threat of autumn weather flip the pages.
I spend my quiet Sunday wrapped up in a new book and finishing Ms. Marvel and rewatching Spider-Man movies, but also like this. It’s grey outside. It wants to rain. I fold my notebook over to keep the paper still as I scribble a scene at the picnic table by the dock. And this too is at peace with my heart.
I frame a postcard today with a Willa Cather quote: “Some things you learn best in calm, some in storm.”
Today: a bit of both.
With Love,
Natalie
