I want to highlight a nonprofit today: For the Love of Alex. They help low-income families with emergency vet care.
My company recently made a generous donation to them (we found out after that we doubled their fundraising impact for the year, which is huge). They are a really excellent organization, run by just a team of three. Most of their donors are from working-class families, contributing what they can to help out pets and their families. I love the combination of animal welfare + human services.
I had never heard of them before I did research on organizations to potentially donate to on behalf of the company, but I’m so glad I found them. They are a great nonprofit to keep in mind for future giving.
