Another day of unpacking — we’re getting there! Books on shelves, boxes all emptied even if the contents aren’t completely organized. It’s more exhausting than it should be, thought a lot more gratifying than packing in the first place!
My aesthetic is mostly superhero posters and lots of bright colors, so now that everything’s up on the walls it’s more clear how dull everything felt before with the soft, vacation home vibe. Relaxing to some, but not at all me. I want to feel awake in my home — and all that color should help in the winter too.
Now instead of the twig wreath on the door I have a Wonder Woman banner my friends got me from a renaissance festival. Now that feels like home.
I’m a little out of steam tonight — with a little more to do — so keeping it short again. But full of gratitude, especially for my parents who’ve been with me through all the unpacking the last two days. Without them I’d be at this for another two weeks.
With Love,
Natalie
