Do Revenge came out on Netflix in September and tonight we finally watched it. It’s like a beautiful renaissance of 90s/early aughts teen movies drenched in Gen Z culture. It’s excellent, funny, queer, surprising . . .
Starring Camila Mendes (from Riverdale) and Maya Hawke (from Stranger Things), the two girls team up to execute each others revenge plots in an elite high school (where Sarah Michelle Gellar from Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the headmaster!).
The soundtrack also slapped — from Hayley Kiyoko to MUNA to Meredith Brooks.
It’ll be like our very own version of friendship tattoos, except you know, with trauma.
