My new desk arrived today! Thank you remote work stipends. It’s such a small (in the grand scheme of things) happiness, but I really love this writing desk from Costco. And I especially love my dad who waited for the delivery, assembled it on his own, and cleaned up afterward all while I was at work. Not to mention let me mooch off his Costco membership in the first place.
I haven’t filled the drawers or settled into it yet (and until my internet is upgraded, looking at you Door County Broadband, I won’t be working full-time here), but it feels like a real workspace. A permanent one. Just like my move here. Permanent.
And I know a quality desk isn’t any indication of quality work, but I love it just the same. The last desk I bought for myself was a lime green one from Ikea in middle school (that I definitely didn’t buy for myself anyone, thanks parents), so this feels like a step up.
A perfect work desk going into a full week off next week! It can have some room to settle in before I put it to work.
With Love,
Natalie
