Friday Reminder: Approach frustrations with curiosity. Ask questions. Challenge your assumptions.

This comes up for me at work fairly often. I’ve seen a lot of inter-departmental conflicts over failing to pause, ask, and understand the intention of the other side. Most of the time we have the same goal, want the same thing, and it’s a matter of sorting out processes and resources.

I am not perfect at this. The asshole part of me sometimes doesn’t care what other people are thinking, only that they’re thinking is wrong. But keep growing right? You can’t grow if you live in statements rather than questions.

Curiosity is one of the great secrets of happiness.
