My Saturday looked like this:

  1. Catching up on studying while volunteering at the Writing Center desk — a quiet, peaceful 5 hours to read about HR strategy and international labor laws (that part was less fun, but very necessary).
  2. Sunny afternoon, out for a short run. Little by little reminding my body how to do this. Thanks to my friend for asking for some movement accountability for herself this week which inspired me to get out more frequently.
  3. Packing and prepping for being gone for next week while listening to Naddpod, both current and past campaigns — it’s wild I’m keeping any storylines straight. Especially while also watching a current and past Dimension 20 campaign at the same time.

With some new pictures of my nephew (nearly 5 weeks old now, if you can believe it), a couple of short fanfics as a study break, and freshly painted nails I’m doing an okay job distracting myself from the week ahead in Austin. Which I’m sure will be just fine. I’m just enjoying being home right now, and travel — even though I’ll get to see some good friends while I’m there — isn’t my highest priority. Especially when the bulk of the travel is for work.

But Austin always has great food and warmer weather and while long days of planning meetings can be tough, sometimes they are good reset for the months ahead. As long as I get my Thundercloud Subs and Torchy’s Tacos while I’m there, the trip will be a success.

With Love,

Natalie
