I can find Cassiopeia, the lazy W
Then the southern cross
Mars and the north star
I learn about the Pleiades
Or the seven sisters
A star cluster that looks
Like glitter in the sky

I know the story of the sisters
Daughters of Atlas
The Titan who held up the sky

The weight of the world is a prison
Only relieved
If someone relieves you

Some days my world feels narrow
And I feel like Atlas
Or the demigods who took the burden
When they were not built to hold it
But they had to hold it
Until the Titan is tricked back into place

But some nights my world broadens
And I can name constellations
Lightyears away
And remember stories
The lasted for millennia

Queen Cassiopeia and her boastful vanity
Perseus rescuing Andromeda from her fate
The eighth sister, a hunter of Artemis,
Written into the story
For a new age

With Love,
Natalie
