I sing the songs I remember from summer nights at camp. The ones we sang in the lodge before heading off to the bathrooms to brush our teeth before bed.

It was one of my favorite parts of the day — the quiet ending to long, exhausting days of summer. The a cappella of hundreds of voices in only the light of the recently set sun. Sometimes it made me cry.

I used to love “Swing Low” the best. I sing it to her at night along with “Today”, “Seven Daffodils”, and “Suitors”. I’ll search my memory for more with time. We used to do a lovely round of “Auld Lang Syne”.

I am so tired, but I can give her this.

With Love,

Natalie
