This is the week for great television.
The Last of Us had its season finale on Sunday. It is already confirmed for more seasons. It is an incredible watch — storytelling and characters that are so compelling it’s impossible to look away, even when it’s heavy or violent . . . it is a zombie apocalypse story after all. The world is heavy and violent.
On a lighter but equally masterful note, season 3 of Ted Lasso aired on AppleTV today. It’s a great time for a season 1 & 2 rewatch if it’s been a while because we are in for a delightful twelve weeks of this show that literally everyone likes. I have not found one person who’s not completely enthralled once they start it, no matter their taste. It is creative, funny, and gives me hope for the kind of person I want to be in the world.
Finally, the week concludes with the long-awaited season 2 of Shadow & Bone on Netflix! I have Friday off to spend the whole day watching it with my friends. Here’s my post about season one from two years ago. As a refresher this is a show based on Leigh Bardugo’s book series Shadow & Bone with non-canon prequel storylines from her duology Six of Crows . . . the Crows are the true stars of the show and my heart. I couldn’t be more excited to see them again on the screen.
With Love,
Natalie
