- How changing my clothes made a difference this morning, even though I started in a dress it didn’t match how I was feeling (a little-rolled-out-of-bed-couldn’t-sleep-last-night-but-have-meetings-all-day) so I swapped it for running pants and a sweatshirt and put an actual scrunchie in my hair and it helped me focus.
- The slew of support from business to business to business to employee to consumer to business to employee and former employee . . . people are all doing their best.
- Merlin on my lap for nearly every meeting and he never quiet settles but it gives my hands somthing to figet with (his ears, scratching his neck) while I work through the work.
- Taquitos, grilled turkey sandwiches, Reeses’ Puffs, Mac & Cheese, baked Cheetos, clementines, bananas, carrots, sparkling water and, yes, Diet Coke: a social distancing diet.
- Frozen II on Disney+ watch party tonight
- Volleyball anime is a thing that still exists? Like, do we talk about this enough? GO WATCH VOLLEYBALL ANIME (real name: Haikyu!! – first two seasons are now on Netflix – please watched the subbed version).
- Waking up in the night to the sound of the rain remains one of the most peaceful, contented feelings in the world.
- It makes a difference for me to have more light so I moved my living room lamp next to my kitchen table and light up my new workspace as much as I can.
- Even though I would really like to buy a Nintendo Switch right now apparently that is impossible online and I’m taking that as a sign that I shouldn’t get obsessed with playing video games even if it’s special circumstances. I have enough obsessions.
- I have talked to people on video in a non-work context every day (I think, the days are a bit blended) this week. So really, in my social distancing, I’ve been much more social than usual.
With Love,
Natalie
