For those wondering if I am alive after a week of sick posts . . . I mostly am. The gauge of that is that I did laundry to have fresh sheets this evening and even did most of my packing for upcoming trip to Austin. AND I ironed for a bit because a dress I want to wear next week was a little too beat up even for me. I had to hunt down the iron and ironing board since this is definitely the first time I’ve done that in this home.

Could a sick person do that? Huh? I’m amazing.

I am occasionally having gross coughing fits but a long steamy shower after work today helped with my congestion a lot. My throat was burning after talking to people during meetings all day, but my brain fog seems to have mostly lifted. At least I didn’t have to immediately lay down after each meeting like yesterday. So like, basically healed right?

Anyway, I do not recommend getting the flu in June. (Four negative Covid tests, so the regular old nasty flu it is. Was. Send good thoughts for a night’s sleep that banishes my stuffy nose.)

On this week’s round of too-sick-to-do-anything-but-be-distracted, I’ll give a nod to:

  • A Series of Unfortunate Events, the TV series
  • Schitt’s Creek, starting on where Patrick is introduced because I love him
  • First Kill, the new lesbian vampire drama
  • Stardew Valley, the farming game
  • Loaded March, the 1M+ word Merlin modern day with magic military AU fanfiction that I should not reread but started rereading anyway

What’s left in the dust . . . the book I was actually in the middle of reading. Oops.

With Love,

Natalie
